Day 348: Pack myself into a suitcase

August 16, 2011 § Leave a comment

Remember that article from a few weeks ago in which a woman attempted to smuggle her husband out of a Mexican prison in a suitcase?

As I saw Stephanie pack her suitcase tonight, I began to wonder whether or not I could contort myself in such a way that I would be able to pull off such a feat. I pulled it out into the living room, climbed in, curled up, and, in all seriousness, told Stephanie to zip me up. After brief hysteric laughter, she informed me that zipping wasn’t going to be possible. This is why:

I swear to god, I thought I was deeper into that suitcase. Or at least filling out the space better. I very seriously thought she would be able to zip me in.

Two takeaways:

  1. That guy who fit into the prison suitcase was either a dwarf, a contortionist or a yoga guru.
  2. I should probably rename this blog the “Dumbass du Jour.”
