Day 260: Prep for the rapture

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well maybe you should ask Christian radio broadcaster Harold Camping:

And although there’s no fire and brimstone in tomorrow’s forecast – The Weather Channel just says 75 and rainy – I decided better safe than sorry, and prepared by taking the following steps.

Build a shelter.

My resources were limited. It’s a little bit cramped, but Steph and I have agreed that while one of us sleeps the other one can squat in the corner.

Gather staples.

I don’t know how we’re supposed to bake when the electricity cuts out and zombies are busting down the door, but from what I understand, it’s important to have a solid supply of the basic food supplies.

Arm myself.

I’ve assembled the most dangerous items on hand: knife, meat tenderizer, barbecue fork, stiletto and pen (See Joe Pesci in Casino).

Check medication.

We’re well stocked: gummy vitamins, Vaseline, antacid tablets, Band-Aids, menstrual cramp relief medication and leftover powder solution from my nasal irrigation.

Mourn the weak (as they’ll be the first to go).

Not everyone will make it. Some will be sacrificed. So Rodney volunteered.

Best wishes everyone. Tomorrow I post from the other side.
