Day 187: Make a bucket list

March 9, 2011 § 2 Comments

I recently stumbled across this Ultimate Adventure Bucket List in National Geographic Adventure. While talking with a friend about some of the awesome featured expeditions, I realized that I’ve never made any sort of organized bucket list. Tonight I took a break from homework for an hour and brainstormed 25 things I’d really like to do before I die.

Tyler’s Bucket List

  1. Publish a novel
  2. See the aurora borealis
  3. Run in a marathon
  4. Get a Tweet on Jimmy Fallon’s #latenighthashtags
  5. Shake a president’s hand
  6. Kiss the Blarney Stone
  7. Go to a football (soccer) game in the U.K.
  8. Make a youtube video that goes viral
  9. Write a stand up comedy act
  10. Ride on the Orient Express
  11. Watch every Hitchcock film ever made
  12. Be the best man in a wedding
  13. Play the part of Signor Pirelli in a production of Sweeney Todd
  14. Ride in a gondola through Venice
  15. Stay in an open-air hotel room
  16. Walk through Machu Picchu
  17. Go on a safari
  18. Go camping along the Deschutes River with a cooler full of Deschutes beer
  19. Celebrate Oktoberfest in Munich
  20. Go to a show at the Sydney Opera House
  21. Be an extra in a movie – preferably a zombie movie
  22. Sing in a karaoke bar in Japan
  23. Have a library in my house with shelves so high they require one of those rolling ladders
  24. Stare down the Sphinx in Egypt
  25. Go zorbing in New Zealand (see video below)
